Sibyl Sharp

Sibyl is a graduate of The Manhattan School of Music in New York City and is a Fellow of The American Guild of Organists. She has been a church organist since the age of 14 and has served as the Director of Music, Choir Director and Organist at churches in Barrington, IL., St. Louis and New Jersey.

What drew you into ministry at King's Way?      I am happy to be a member of the Ministry Team at King’s Way because I recognize the opportunities for music to contribute to an inspiring and uplifting worship experience as we offer our very best to God and God's people each time we gather for communal worship.

What is the favorite part of your ministry?   One of my greatest pleasures is playing the magnificent 55 rank Casavant organ, especially when I accompany the congregation in singing beloved hymns. As Director of the Silver Bells Handbell Choir I hope to engage King’s Way Seniors in a stimulating, educational and meaningful experience.

What do you love to do in your spare time?   My recreational pursuits include traveling with my three adult children and visits to my three grandchildren. I volunteer for the Humane Society, and I am an active participant in the Springfield music community.
