HUMANIZING THE BORDER
with Rev. Lucas Endicott
All adults are invited to come and hear an engaging presentation by Rev. Lucas Endicott. The border between the United States and Mexico has received a lot of media attention in recent months. Rev. Lucas Endicott, currently serving in the Mission, Service and Justice Office in Columbia, has lived and studied on the border in El Paso. He will be at King’s Way to talk about life on both the US and Mexico side of the border and what Methodists are doing to help those in need. Join us for a conversation about an important, current topic!
TWO AMAZING CLASSES ON
AUGUST 28 | 6-7:30PM
WHAT DOES LOVE MEAN?
with Corbin Cole, author of Love Addict
In Greek, the language of the New Testament, there are four words for love–agape, philia, storge, and eros each of which carry different meanings–but no matter what the Greek word is, the English equivalent is always love. So what does love even mean? Join Corbin Cole to discuss how these nuances might inform our theology, views of Jesus, ourselves in relationships, and finally have a time of spiritual group reflection.
