A Praying Church Postcard

Please join us for Rev. Dr. Tadd Kruithoff’s October sermon series, “A Praying Church.”

The church was born in prayer and is sustained by prayer. Prayer is one of the ways the church learns to live with the God who is already present and active. Across four weeks, we move from learning to address God as Jesus does, to praying one another toward maturity, bringing our suffering honestly before God, and interceding for the world God loves.

A praying church becomes a people attentive to God, formed by grace, and available to bless others. We do not pray to bring a distant God closer. We pray because, through Jesus, God has drawn near and invited us into his life and work.

This 4-week series runs during the month of October. A spiritual practice guide that accompanies Pastor Tadd’s messages is available in the sanctuary. We would love for you to join us!

Congregants at King’s Way wear a wide variety of attire, from dresses and suits to jeans and t-shirts. You are welcome to dress however you feel most comfortable.

During Worship, Nursery care & Children’s activities are available for children in the 5th grade and under.

Worship includes both Traditional and Contemporary styles. See below for a description of each worship style.

Traditional

Sundays at 9:00 am

Traditional Worship celebrates the rich heritage of worship through traditional music and liturgy. It features the King’s Way Choir or other special music and the 55-Rank organ, which offers beautiful hymns, traditional songs, and a closing doxology. This style creates a deep experience of worship and devotion through prayer, song and preaching..

Contemporary

Sundays at 10:30 am

Contemporary worship music is led by King’s Way’s praise band. This style utilizes more contemporary worship songs and instruments such as the bass, the guitar, and the drums, and has sound preaching that encourages attendees to dig deeper into God’s Word and character.

Contemplative Worship

Sundays at 5:30 pm

Contemplative Worship is a setting in which we quiet ourselves in order to open our souls to the ministry of God within.

It is one way to hear God’s voice with our hearts. Offering extended times of stillness, Scripture reading, reflection, acoustic music, and Holy Communion in our Chapel.

Please park in the The Center/Atkins Parking lot at the front of the church (closest to the south entrance).
